I took far too few pictures of today's vehicular adventures, but here's a couple highlights. Beautiful weather, riding "that way!" *points randomly* and steak and beer, and cheap-ass cheese fries...

'97 F650. Great bike. Love it. A little bulky for serious off-road, but it has torque everywhere and crawls like a champ when the going gets nasty. Also handles really well on road. Great controls, comfortable, reliable as dirt.

I have to say, as much as I hate a number of twin-cylinder bikes, the G/F series aren't that bad. I actually rode an F800GT and was close to buying one.
I still wanted an R1200R.

heh, we almost got my buddy's R1200 GS stuck in a tree, and a ditch, at the same time...

Good looking bike! Does that rear storage thing come off?

Yup, keyed quick-release rail. Comes on and off in about 10 seconds. I really do need to invest in saddle bags for it. The top trunk is pretty spacious for a day ride, but its not up to real travel needs... Or carying more than a single 12pk of beer...
